Family Friendly The flat paved first mile is ADA and very family friendly including benches and a little beach with a picnic table.

Description

The first mile of the trail is flat and paved along the Palouse River. At the end of the pavement, the fun begins with a singletrack climb to a gate then more climbing before descending again to the river. More flat riding along the Palouse River until mile 2.6 when the trail turns into the woods and climbs to the ridge in about 1/2 mile.

The singletrack meanders through the woods, hills, and meadows for a couple miles before heading back down to meet the paved trail at 5.4-miles. Overall, it is a fun ride with easy, flat sections, some manageable climbing, a few roots and a fun descent.

Many thanks to the locals who help maintain the trail.

A nice ribbon of singletrack that's typical of the Palouse Canyon Loop.
