Description

Divide Trail is a singletrack that plunges very steeply down towards the valley of East Dry Run Fork Creek. Point the front wheel down and hold on! Of course it's possible to ride uphill, but it's a pretty steep climb.

It makes part of the Horse Heaven loop in a remote area of Mount Rogers National Recreation Area.

It connects the long distance Virginia Highlands Horse Trail (#337) and Iron Mountain Trail (#301) that run most of the length of Mount Rogers National Recreation Area. There is actually a gap in the Iron Mountain Trail just to the east and from Iron Mountain Trail #301: US 21 to Divide Trail where you must take Divide Trail and a portion of the VHHT to get to the next segment of the Iron Mountain Trail.
