Description

This ridge trail is a fun way to check out this remote range. The trail is only accessed by other trails so it is very remote. The route can also be snowed in until late June or July.

The section from the beginning to the intersection with the Campbells Cow Camp Trail #181 has some reasonable grades and some great views. If you go north beyond the Campbells Cow Camp Trail #181 the trail gets a lot steeper and harder to ride. After Campbells Cow Camp Trail #181, the trail descends into lower elevation trees and the vegetation gets much thicker. The route may not get cut out until July so bear this in mind before traveling on the trail. You can always check with the local ranger district for the most up to date conditions.

This trail also has a number of old burn scars where there can be lots of tree down so keep this in mind if you decide to attempt the trail before it has been cut out.

The nature of the trail also means it can be dangerous during a thunderstorm since there are not a lot of places to seek shelter during a storm.
