Description

From the top of Secret Canyon turn left and go southeast along the base of the mountains on rolling terrain. Riders will encounter a mix of singletrack, doubletrack, and even a short section along the ranch road as they travel past Cinder Cone vista and to the three troughs.

Cinder Cone, part of the Nanny Creek Volcanics is 40 million year old rhyolite, andesite, big cottonwood canyon tuff and basal conglomerate. Enjoy the view east to the Goshute Valley with Arrowhead Playa in the middle. To the southeast is a good view of Six Mile Canyon which is mostly limestone but also has a granitic pluton. From here, the road-trace descends to the main ranch road near the three throughs.
