The line between Lower Freight Train and
Lower No Joke is easy to blur as the two trails merge and split over the fast dirt and fun rocks near the Creekside Gondola. Most riders end up mixing and matching for a choose-your-own adventure, but if you want to stick to the flow and jumps of Lower Freight Train, it's not too difficult.
Look for the start of the trail off of
Lower No Joke as is parallels the road past the gondola. A short run-in and bumpy rock-slab roll quickly merge with
Lower No Joke before both head over
Crossroads. At the next rise, the trails diverge and Lower Freight Train heads left for a ramp drop that feeds into fast berms and some small jumps. A short wooden bridge carries riders forwards to a straightaway that returns to collect the end of
Lower No Joke and
Drop In Clinic.
The trail meanders about for a moment before lining up with the containers. This signature step-up to step-down allows riders to actually jump to the roof of several large shipping containers before sending it off the other side. You'll need a little speed, but you definitely don't want to overcook things. It's easy to miss while you're pedaling in, but
Upper Duffman starts just to the left of the containers.
On the other side, the trail lets out the gas with a small optional drop that feeds into a series of tabletops. Up next, a wooden bridge with a drop at the end crosses over
Upper Duffman. Step-downs, step-ups and large berms will soon have riders at a small clearing that intersects with
Lower Duffman and
Side Track. Continue on the center option and then keep right past
No Duff for more Freight Train goodness. The rest of the trail dishes up a heap of jumps that will keep you coming back for more!
Located in the Garbanzo Zone, Lower Freight Train ends on
EZ Does It near the start of
Dirt Merchant.
