Description

The start of the Fork Mountain Trail heads west from an intersection with the Pocahontas Trail #263. An initial moderate climb is followed by an enjoyable descent that crosses over Hill Creek (rideable unless it has rained recently). From there, the trail overlaps a paved section that leads to the nearby parking area and avoids tackling an unrealistic climb up the Fork Mountain Trail - Water Bar Section.
