Description

From the top of the Summit Trail, this trail starts as an old jeep road that also functions as a multi-use trail. Head down the road and watch your speed, as it is loose and rocky in places and there are a lot of hikers around.

In under a mile, the road passes through two switchbacks. The second one is located by a canal and riders should keep straight to follow the rest of the trail as it turns to singletrack (as mapped). The jeep road actually continues along the canal through BLM land to the east.

The singletrack section is pretty steep and technical and has lots of uphill traffic, so use caution. At the bottom, the trail meets the Wolf Tree Trail, which connects back to the River Trail at the bridge.

Very steep Jeep road. I took the river trail and ended up on some harsh switchbacks that are realistically hiker or descent only.
