The Cullowhee Connector has an especially challenging start at the parking lot that is challenging even for experienced hikers and bikers. Nearly impassable for those with physical disabilities that impact walking, the elderly, and those who are not good on their feet.

Need to Know

Parking - visitors to the university will need a visitor's parking pass from the Cordelia Camp building to park without getting a ticket. the Pass is $1 and lasts all day.

Description

This trail can be ridden in either direction, but it really shines as a descent. From the west, the trail is almost all downhill. Near the end riders will find some of the steepest and tightest switchbacks around that make a fun addition to any ride. After these switchbacks, cross over the paved road and then through a tunnel under the highway, ending at a large parking lot that is available for parking after 5:00 p.m.

This trail is multi-directional - there is no recommended direction, so look for other riders, hikers, and runners, and yield to anybody who is climbing!
