Description

The Contra Costa Trail follows the Contra Costa Canal, meandering along a horseshoe-shaped path through central Contra Costa County. The path intersects with a number of local parks and trails, including a section of the Iron Horse Regional Trail: Iron Horse Regional Trail: Treat Blvd - Stone Valley Rd and Iron Horse Regional Trail: Highway 4 - Treat Blvd.

The trail also provides important connections with schools, commercial areas, public transportation (BART, County Connection) and rural open space.
