The guided horseback rides occasionally use Lower Spruce Road. If you encounter a tour, do not make any sudden movements and follow the directions from the guide.

Bike season is Memorial Day weekend through the first of October. Check the website for updated lift and bike park hours of operations. Before starting your cross country ride, stop by the Mountain Adventure Center in the village for a backcountry trail map and current trail updates.

Description

Lower Spruce Road is an improved fire road with varying sized gravel and a few large rocks embedded into the tread. After riding Fire Tower Trail to the river, take Lower Spruce Road to the south on Upper Spruce Road back to Powder Puff or North West Ridge Road. From the Shavers Fork River, Lower Spruce Road is a steady climb back up the mountain.
