Fun features kids enjoy - pump tracks, teeter-totter; distance is short.
Trail is currently open but in need of some work. Berms and filling would be an improvement in some locations. Trail blazes have been refreshed and cut-offs marked off to prevent wrong direction travel. Obviously not heavily used with pine needles and leaves everywhere.
Description
This trail features short, punchy climbs and tight turns interspersed with the disc golf course. There are multiple shortcuts and social trails created by hikers and visitors, but the mountain bike trail is marked primarily with blue arrows and blazes throughout.
The disc golf course crosses and follows the trail at times, and directions for disc golfers are marked primarily with orange blazes and arrows so use caution to follow blue trail markers only.
There are two small pump tracks built into the trail, two challenging switchback climbs dropping into bermed turns behind the baseball field, a teeter-totter, balance beam, jump, and small optional drop-in.
Best parking is in the lot on Lake Drive off University Blvd (near the parking garage). The official trail start is on the side of University Blvd, but after becoming familiar with the trail there are multiple other starting points.
