Description
This trail can be done either way, but it technically starts at the end of the road that passes the YMCA fields. A yellow gate is where the trailhead is.
The start has some smooth gravel singletrack, which widens at a rocky downhill. The trail continues with a slight uphill grade, wide but no grass middle. At some point, this will gain a grass middle.
Halfway through the trail, you'll reach 5 Corners, a trail hub complete with a picnic table. From here, you can go on
Ant Hill Trail,
Old Farm Trail,
Rock Ridge Trail, or continue on Gray Flats South, which is straight ahead.
In almost 0.5 miles, you'll see the end of
Rock Ridge Trail. Around the bend after this is a steep uphill. After that, you get a small downhill and the trail turns into wider singletrack. You'll see houses through the vegetation. Soon will be the end of the trail on Timberland Road. Turn right then left to get back to the YMCA complex.
The terrain has a little bit of dirt trail and singletrack, but most of it is gravel and doubletrack.
Great beginner trail and family friendly, Just the two big hills. Have fun!
