Description
Glorieta is giving the New Mexico mountain bike scene a real kick in the pants! Their meticulously designed and totally bananas enduro trails are somewhat new phenomenon in this state and people are taking notice. Now, with the new access trail being built just outside the Glorieta gate, we may have access to these trails year round! Thanks for the grunt work Santa Fe Fat Tire Society!
The newly minted Holy Molé trail was born from a previous romper simply called "flow" or "Glorieta flow". Holy Molé follows the same track as the old flow trail but it now includes many more berms, jumps and rollers along the way. The trail is fairly smooth and does not feature the gnar of
Chili Dog nearby. With the exception of a rocky right hand turn and maditory drop about .5mi in Holy Molé is all about speed. Halfway down you'll have the option of taking the black route or the blue route. The blue route is more of the same awesomeness, and the black route features a rock garden and a steep descent down the face of a massive sloping boulder. s you get toward the bottom, the trail features a number of swoopy switchbacks that can be taken at full speed as the berms are high. When you're finished, you'll have the added bonus of being at the top of the
Treehouse trail...which is another Glorieta gem.
It must be said that if you want some real Holy Molé, then follow this ride with dinner at Cafe Pasqual's in downtown Santa Fe!
