The route of Buenos Aires in Villavicencio is one of the strongest climbs that can be found in mountain biking in the region. The route begins at the Primavera Shopping Center and winds down a curved slope where 2x4 are in trouble to win. The viewpoints are dazzling and although riders go and return the same way, the experience is completely different.

Be aware of traffic.

From the shopping center, ascend towards the sector of the Carmen and cross the main way that comes from Bogota. Once past that road and 1.5 mi/2.5 km, turn right to start an epic ascent on Buenos Aires Dirt Road. This is steep and exhausting slope with a 19% grade.

Keep going to two additional viewpoints that present a well-earned rest and reward with incredible views of the city. When you reach the summit, the view is enchanting. Next, take the descent very carefully along the steep slopes that will test your brakes to the max.

The route is short, substantial, challenging, and relentless. A delight to find ones climbing limits and get a good training ride in.
