Description

This trail has been recently upgraded (as Sept 2017) and was in perfect condition while the rest of the State might be too hot or too dry. Purely x-country, no jumps or gaps. It has a logging road section.

From Nehalem, turn north on Northfork Rd heading to Hwy 53. After you pass a big dairy farm, it is your first turn to your left. The trailhead will be a hundred yards ahead on your left (there is signage).

Climbing up on singletrack, you'll cross two logging roads. Once you get to the 3rd logging road, turn left and then right at the fork. Start going down that gravel road until you cross a bridge over Coal Creek and then follow the road along the Creek for another 200 yards. Total dirt road is probably 0.7 miles. The trail starts again at the corner where the road diverts from the creek. Follow the trail along the creek to the top.

There is signage from the Oregon Department of Forestry. No access fee.
