Winter closure if there is snow
Description
Gutterball is a new trail that has the potential to be a real classic. This is a one-way trail starting at the bottom of Pequop Ranch and follows
Nanny Creek (dry) for 1.4 miles on a slight downhill east toward Oasis.
Once it is dialed in, it will be a good trail for a Strava time. It should be ridden downhill as part of a loop as there are blind corners and fast riders. You can't get lost as the trail stays in the gutter, I mean creek bed, the entire time. This would be a good ride in the fall, winter or spring as it is lower in elevation at 6000 ft. In winter, the trail condition is the same as I-80 between exit 376 and 378 which it parallels.
The trail ends at fence line road where there are numerous options to complete a loop by the Lupine, Prickley Pear, or
Maintenance Road Trail. There are no real parking areas but you can park anywhere along the primitive dirt roads as long as you leave room for other vehicles to get by. There is no traffic so all the dirt roads are also good rides but you can ride mostly singletrack if you want. Gutterball is all singletrack.
