Most ride this twisty, rocky trail down, but if you want a real challenge, ride it up and down.

This trail can get snowed and icy in the winter and is best ridden in the spring, summer, and fall.

Description

This trail makes for a challenging out-and-back ride that 90% ride downhill only. Riding it up is a technical challenge with some pitches that are 20+% and quite rocky in spots. This could be considered an advanced trail in the uphill direction and intermediate/advanced in the downhill direction. Be prepared to hike-a-bike in some spots if you choose to ride it up.

The trail is in great condition and has some fantastic views of the San Gabriel range as well as the Inland Valleys. Remember, this is a shared-use trail so be on the lookout for hikers.

If you want to do this as a shuttle you can park at the top at the Children's Forest Parking lot, but remember your Adventure Pass! You can also ride up the road and then descend and, of course, if you want to raise your heart rate, ride it up then turn around and ride it down.

Trail is running great right now. A few minor erosion spots but nothing bad. Keller Peak Road is clear and good for climbing. 8.1mi — 1h 32m
