“This fun flow trail takes you from dark forests to open huckleberry bogs.
”
During the rainy season, please allow significant time for the trail tread to dry out. Please visit the local IMBA chapter's website at wrcmba.com for updated trail conditions.
Description
This trail intersects Hollerback Trail and is two directional, but downhill preferred, You'll flow and roll through dark woods, berms, fern-lined trail, and between tight trees before you pop out into the daylight where the soil turns from clay to blacklock.
Blacklock is typically found in cranberry bogs, but here you'll notice walls of edible Evergreen Huckleberries. From here, the trail becomes playful with optional doubles and transfers if you carry your speed throughout. This trail ends at Upper Captain Blacklock. Please exit Swam-pass Bypass in wet weather and heavy rains.
