Description
This trail is listed as an intermediate section because of the jumps, roots, and switchbacks (not the grade). This trail can be ridden in either direction.
When starting from the sledding hill, the trail descends nicely into the biggest jump in the trail system. This "jump" is designed to be ridden over, or cut to the right and avoid it all together. For the skilled rider, this is actually a small gap that starts with the first jump and lands on a log-over about 15 feet past the jump. At a slower speed, both can just be ridden over without leaving the ground.
The trail then banks a hard left with a nice berm, and continues with a short climb with a few logs and turns. Then the trail crosses Stone Rd. (which you can take a left to go back to the cemetery or turn right to return to the parking lot). After crossing the gravel road, the trail will turn right and over a small log. Then the trail will start to get a little flowy with some roots, loose switchbacks, and some pump sections, eventually ending at the parking lot.
When starting from the lot, the trail starts with a nice, flowy section which eventually hits the gravel road. Cross this road to continue to a small section of flow. The trail will begin to descend and flow into a small log/gap jump (or roll over). The choice is yours, a skilled rider can hit this jump and land in the small landing, or both can just be ridden over.
The trail continues with the flow and then banks a hard right into a nice and easy climb. After this hard left, you can try your skills and hit the jumps in reverse, or go around them. The trail will continue on uphill to the top of the sledding hill.
