Family Friendly A great trail for beginners or the whole family.

Open sunrise to sunset.

Description

Park in the final lot of the Landing Road parking area of Rockburn Park. Enter the trail system by crossing the wooden bridge and following the sign toward the skills park. At the large information board, take a left onto the Pain Cave Loop (to the right is the Skills Park Trail). These trails are highly trafficked by runners and dog walkers when the weather is nice, so stay alert.

This flowy, wider than normal, singletrack trail winds through a quiet woodland forest. You'll hit a few large sand traps, which are unusual for trails in the area. There are lots of roots to cross and 4-6 inch logs to jump. It is a great trail for new mountain bikers. The hills are mild and it is more of a trail ride than a technical ride.
