Description

Enjoy the scenery as you go through young pine stands to rugged hardwood bottoms with massive old growth trees that are sure to amaze. Some of the loblolly pines in the forests traversed by the trail are impressively large. Here, the understory is sparse, and you can see a long way around you. Expect multiple creek crossing leading to long climbs followed by fast flowing rollercoaster singletrack. The route is marked by red signs also known as the "Racecourse Loop". Combine with Tally's Creek Trail and Mills Branch Trail to get in a full day's worth of riding with more than 20 miles and plenty of elevation to get your heart pumping.

Lots of leaves. Due to Recent maintenance trail is clear all the way through. Drains well so it can be ridden right after a rain. Had a great time — 1h 40m

Downed trees over trail make you detour around or lift your bike over. Probably 10 trees in all. Had a great time on this trail.
