Description

This connects the Santa Ana River Trail to the Orange Blossom Trail in Redlands. It follows the old railway bed, which was once a railway in the early 20th century.

The entire dirt trail parallels Opal Street through Mentone. The northern section is smooth, while the southern section, as you near the Mentone library, becomes very rutted and hard to find a good line through. There is a very busy street crossing on Highway 38.

The final section between Highway 38 and Colton Ave is infested with goathead thorns, which will completely cover your tires, giving you flats front and rear if you're not running tubeless tires.
