Family Friendly A nice wide trail with short gradual elevation gains and small downhills.

It will get snowed in and not plowed.

Description

A nice wide trail with an easy, moderate grade and amazing scenery. I rode it in the early winter after the hunters were out and it made a fun, exciting fat tire run. I did go about two miles past Dry Canyon junction and it does start to change a bit to more narrow, rougher, and rockier trail. Don't forget your camera as it has just amazing rock features.

The trail stays pretty close to the creek and makes for a really nice ride up the canyon through some park-like groves and down long, narrow, and peaceful meadows. I stopped at the junction with Dry Canyon #4125 where you can make a choice to either continue up Big Elk Creek or turn to the east, the trail is marked, and head up Dry Canyon. All off these trails also head into Wyoming.
