Overview
A challenging and aesthetic backcountry traverse from Fall Creek to Bear Creek. Park a shuttle vehicle at the Bear Creek trailhead or ride it as an out-n-back for a big day! Expect hike-a-bike and a handful of big creek crossings. Some motorized traffic; more so on the weekends.
Description
Start with the
South Fork Fall Creek #030 and climb to a pass known as Four Corners. The trails starts as ATV-width but after four miles, stay to the left at a trail junction in a nice meadow and continue on singletrack to the pass. The upper part of this trail will challenge even the fittest climbers.
From Four Corners, descend the
North Fork Bear Creek #049 trail through a classic backcountry setting. The north fork section has a bit of everything from fast and flowy to chunky with a few short, punchy climbs. When you reach the main stem, continue down canyon on
Bear Creek #273, fording the creek several times or take the bypass trail on the north side of the creek to avoid wet feet.
This ride is rocky and narrow in places.
