Description

Sugar Daddy has a lot in common with Sugar Mama, which runs parallel on the SE shoulder of Ranger Hill. Both are more primitive (narrow, rooty, loose), unlike the more flowy machine-built trails on the SW side of the hill (Bobcat and Snakes & Ladders). Somehow, Sugar Daddy makes more of the elevation change, throwing in regular small up/downs, stretching out the fun of the descent, and making it an easier climb.

After climbing Sugar Daddy, you'll find yourself on a minor summit of Ranger Hill, so you would (initially) descend in either direction on Strange Brew. Be warned, however: Strange Brew is a tough climb (compared to Ranger Summit or Sugar Daddy) and the majority of people will be coming down (fast!), so you may be better off turning right (northeast).

Approximately 300m from the eastern end, Sugar Daddy crosses the Elbow ski trail. Outside of ski season (Dec through Mar), it is possible to avoid the extra climbs and distance on Snagmore by taking the doubletrack ski trail north to/from Boundary Ridge, or south to/from the Fullerton Trailhead.
