Description

This short out-and-back defunct road turned trail follows the route of an old 1900's mining road and terminates at the old mine works. It has not been open in over 30 years and is grown over in most spots with large saplings. After your climb up, you'll be rewarded with plenty of water bars and creek crossings to catch air off of on the way back down.

Since it technically has no trail name, we named it "Unaka". That was the original name of the National Forest in the area before it became the Jefferson.
