This trail is an extension of the Glacier Creek Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park. No bikes are allowed on the trails inside the park. This portion of the trail lies on YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park Center property.

Description

This pretty sweet stretch of singletrack follows the Glacier Creek down to its confluence with the Wind River. The trail can be picked up on the west end just past the YMCA livery. There is more than one trail that starts from the livery—one is intended for horses only. Be sure to ride the bike trail. It is the closest to the creek, furthest downhill.

The trail hugs the creek drainage pretty tightly in places, with a little bit of exposure at times. It bobs and weaves around rocks and trees and is quite a bit of fun. The trail is well-signed which is helpful as there are a few connector trails that feed in and out of it. Some of the connectors head into RMNP while the others take you up into the YMCA camp.
