Overview

Mostly singletrack all the way around with a steep climb near the beginning. After that, it is mostly rolling and flowy singletrack.

This was the course for the 2016 NICA NorCal/SoCal California State Championships.

Description

This course is a great loop option inside the Los Olivos Dirt Club! It starts on a long straight dirt road through the parking area, then hits NASCAR, a singletrack running up past a vineyard. The trail runs up Double Anal Chain Lube, a very steep climb up to Ridgeline on the ridge above. The ridge section is rolling singletrack with some occasional bumpy sections.

Next, the course runs into Water Tower - Magic Mike's Connector, a fire road leading to Magic Mike's, which is a super twisty singletrack downhill! At the bottom, the singletrack dumps you out into Fire Road Connector, leading to XC DH, which is a fast section of singletrack running under a neat-looking overhanging oak tree.

The course then breaks off to the right on a very bumpy doubletrack, leading to the bottom of Elm Street. After that, it zig-zags into the fenced area and into the finish under the large oak tree.
