For safety reasons, all riders must register at either the North or South Welcome Station or the Golden Pond Visitor Center.

Description

Starting at the Artillery Trail, you'll descend gradually along the bottom of the plain. Passing by Tennessee Ridge, you'll see mixed hardwood and pine forest and a couple of old homestead foundations. As you turn north, there are some long-neglected remnants of the iron industry in the area including a few abandoned rigging foundations as well as a spring on the right.

Connect with the Telegraph Trail and the visitor center by turning right, or turn left to head back to Piney Campground.
