Description
Follow the well marked (yellow-blazed) trail with lots of signage at the juncture points. You'll go through an open field before heading back into the woods and an uphill section. After about the 0.75 mile mark you'll pass a large slab rock that is the Carrick parking lot set back off the trail to your left where you can connect to the Fred Schroeder Memorial (red-blazed) trail. As a side note this limestone slab and area features some geological interests (fossils and glacial scraping marks).
Continue past the guard rail blocking most of trail from cars and follow the yellow marked trail. At about 1.1 miles you'll pass the Hang Glider (magenta-blazed) trail. At about the 1.75 mile mark you'll pass a small pond. The water can sometimes obscure the trail; if that's the case, just stay to the right. Shortly after you'll pass a small parking lot and eventually get to a fork. Head left over the small bridge to reach the end of the trail and Long Path (green-blazed) junction.
