Overview

The Route of Suesca evokes the power and the magnificence of the landscapes of this region; the "Cuchuqueross". This is a 17.6-km route with a certain degree of difficulty that will give any ride a personal sense of accomplishment at the end of the entire trip.

The tour goes through beautiful landscapes with some slopes that will test your skill and endurance, but the environment will make the effort worthwhile. It is designed to culminate where it starts for better logistics. The route can take up to three hours to complete. The weather is usually cold between 9 degrees to 20 degrees Celsius. Warm clothes are recommended according to the time and weather conditions of the moment.

Need to Know

The entrance is through the first corner of the village on the right, going up on the left in the section and on the right for the part of the "X", and continuing the final route of the "Z", to the top of the mountain.

Description

The route begins at the Dona Maria restaurant at the entrance to the rocks of Suesca, Cundinamarca, very close to Bogota, along the route to the rocks of Suesca or the rocky cliffs above the Bogotá River.

At almost 4,500 meters above sea level, it's much colder being very close to the mountains that are usually covered with fog in the morning. Continue ascending through the green of Huita and its forests of pine and eucalyptus, crossing places that the road makes an "X", "Y", and finally "Z" to reach the high point of a slow fire road. Here, there is a great panoramic view of the place.

Next begins a continuous descent. Take care for large and loose stones, curves, and finally the crossing of the river Bogota reaching Santa Rosa. You go to the river and then start a constant ascent on pavement towards the Alto de Teneria, 3 km of a fun finish down to reach the end of the circuit.
