Need to Know

The trail was still being worked on as of fall 2017, so be aware of the trail crew.

Description

The area's newest trail, this trail connects the lower parking lot at Red Lodge Mountain to the West Fork Road. It can be ridden both ways, just use caution on the old trail from the West Fork Road. Steep grades and blind corners could be a problem in a few spots.

From the trailhead at RLM, a huge effort was made to keep a steady grade for about three miles. Very easy riding with wide turns and stable singletrack makes for a pleasant cruise through the woods. This new trail will connect to an older trail system that gets far steeper and straighter, taking off to a fast downhill with limited visibility in some areas.

The trail ends through open fields with some fun features along the way.
