One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.

Need to Know

If you are not racing the clock, be sure to stop near the lake and creeks. You'll find great opportunities for nature shots and might see herons, geese, cormorants, eagles, ducks, and more.

Description

This trail was updated two years ago, and now you can find the trailhead at the end of A Loop, or you can skip A Loop and take the multi-use road (MU1) to access it at 0.5 miles from the parking lot. The total distance is 3.6 miles with a bail-out (BO3) at approximately the 1.6-mile mark.

There is a mixture of flats and rolling hill sections. There is an A-frame at the 2.6-mile mark and a technical log-over approximately 0.5 miles from the end. Both technical features have ridearounds. The low sections offer scenic views of Harwoods Mill Reservoir, where you can spot a variety of wildlife (eagles, geese, cormorants, ducks and more) if you stop to take in the sights.

When you reach the end, stop at the creek crossing in the summertime to view a family of water snakes in the rocks. Please do not disturb them—that is their home.

Incline climb. Perhaps the few short climbs are why trail is rated "intermediate." Truthfully is a beginner trail.
