Need to Know
Pebbles Trail #738 is on a northeast facing aspect and may be muddy in spring or late fall. There is good dog water at the creek crossing (a bridge is provided) except from about late July through November.
Description
This narrow singletrack provides a fast descent or a moderately strenuous rolling climb, depending on which direction of travel. There are sections of embedded rock that are challenging and some exposure along the way. Expect a few jumps and some huge boulders with technical trail features added. Bypasses are provided around the giant boulder play area.
The trail is a popular short cut back to Upper Igo Trailhead when riding the
MERA Loop Trail #724 clockwise.
From Upper Igo Trailhead, ride Skills Trail #727 counter clockwise to the junction with Pebbles Trail #738. It's a fun, technical, and short climb (quarter mile) to the junction. Ride Pebbles Trail north to the junction with
MERA Loop Trail #724. Decide at this point if you want to ride the MERA Loop Trail clockwise or counterclockwise--its a great loop trail ridden in either direction. For the return to Upper Igo on Pebbles Trail, you have a net descent that is fast and fun. From Owsley Canyon Trailhead, follow directions shown for MERA Loop Trail.
