Description

This trail starts out gradual then gets pretty steep. It isn't overly technical compared to other parts of Pisgah but it is a steep climb and will require hike-a-bike for some riders. The trail reaches the Pilot Cove Loop Trail at about 1.4 miles in, which makes for a nice descent if you don't want to continue on. Otherwise, the trail descends to Yellow Gap Road.

Rode from top where trail meets Pilot Cove and then downward to east. Beautiful trail through green valley, lots of water crossings.
