There is a good map available in the parking lot. Overall, this loop is pretty straightforward. It's not crowded and there are very nice views with raptors, groundhogs/hedgehogs...and cows.

There is a bathroom but no water.

Out of the parking lot, take the Laughlin Ranch Loop and link up with the Tamcan Trail. This runs into Brushy Peak Loop Trail, which you follow on a decently long climb to the summit. It is a combo of singletrack and dirt ranch roads up to this point.

At the top, there is some technical singletrack that goes the rest of the way.

You have a choice on your way down. You can go downhill all the way back to the parking lot on the east side of West Side Loop Trail or you can branch off and do a short steep climb up to the ridge on the west side of the West Side Loop Trail then ride down from there. The second choice adds another 0.14 miles to the ride.
