Overview

This loop ride provides excellent desert riding with a nice little climb to start then lots of fun up and down. Access the ride from the parking lot for the restaurant Jazamango.

Need to Know

Over the Edge bike shop in downtown Todos Santos has excellent bikes to rent (Pivot, Trek) as well as gear, parts, and info.

In the winter months, you can do this ride with one water bottle or a pack with less than a liter of water. If you're riding in the summer, bring plenty of water or ride very early in the morning. It's extremely hot.

Description

Head out of the parking lot on the Access Road and at around the 0.6-mile mark make a left and start climbing on a short Connector. You'll see a radio tower to the left. That's basically the top of the climb. Continue onto the Access Spur and then Trail 1. Descend down some fun singletrack and go under the highway at mile 2.8. Now you are on a loop that heads out into the desert. Have fun on singletrack that goes up and down and winds around some incredible scenery. These trails continue in different directions and have been mapped out here using satellite imagery.

At around mile 8.8, you'll cross under the highway again on Trail 7 and then do some last quick up and down before hitting a wide sandy arroyo at the Wash Connector. Pedal hard and you'll get across. The singletrack becomes the dirt Access Road and takes you back to the parking lot at Jazamango.

Poorly marked on map—some is fire road but most is singletrack. HOT—go at 7am.
