Description

The rail trail takes a circuitous route between the historic mill towns of Newport and Claremont, following the Sugar River Valley.

Initially, the route travels through the forest before crossing three trestle bridges. The trail continues again for a few miles and then goes through a series of covered bridges.

The route then jumps back into the woods, intersecting with SR 11/SR 103 before reaching a junction with the Bobby Woodman Trail.
