Need to Know

At the far end of Burr Pond via Starks Road, you can access a larger trail network within Paugnut State Forest (bounded by Burr Pond at one end and Guerdat Road/Walnut Mountain at the other).

Description

The Walcott Trail around Burr Pond is quite rocky in spots and requires decent technical skills. It is not conducive to beginners. Think Old School Technical, not New School Flowy. There is minimal elevation gain at the far end of the pond as the trail approaches Starks Road.
