Need to Know

This is a popular walking/hiking spot—be careful around any curves. Many of the larger groups span the whole trail and need a little heads up to provide passage. Horses are also allowed and will be seen fairly regularly.

A small bike repair station exists near the west outlook entrance including a bike stand, pump, and a small selection of tools.

Description

The Bluffs can be ridden either way, but the longest descent route is clockwise. Start with a moderate climb and keep right to circle the few outlooks to get views of the Front Range and Denver metro area. Continue down (keeping right) for some curvy, often soft descents. The trail continues with some small rolling curves to climb back out.

You can connect to the Douglas County East/West Regional Trail near both outlook entrances or do a number of loops to add some mileage.
