Need to Know
The north end is a bit steep so be ready for a climb if you're going towards the dam. Watch for cow's. They are friendly and generally move out of your way, but like to travel the same trail.
Description
This is the full Heron
Bay Trail singletrack trail that rides along Heron Bay and is a nice flowing trail with some steep sections. Heavily-traveled on weekends by both bikers and hikers, but during the week you'll be the only one on the trail.
Great views of the hills and lake from most of the trail. The trail is in three sections and meets up with the main fire road that you need to ride for short distances to get from one section to the next.
There are no major obstacles, just a fun ride. Look for the sign posts on the main fire road for directions. If starting from the dam side, there is a tree at the top of the hill with a bench under it. The trail goes straight down from the bench.
