Description

Connector trail between Santa Monica Ridge Trail & SR 56 Bike Trail eventually ending at Gonzales Canyon Trail. The start point is just south of the 56 Fwy. It begins with very narrow singletrack through tall brush and trees passing under the 56 Fwy. The entire trail is such. At Del Mar Heights Rd the trail continues under the highway and veers to a more northwest direction through tunnels carved from the brush and trees, much like Tunnel #4 nearby. There is very little elevation change on this trail. A portion of the trail at Del Mar Heights Rd. underpass there is some deep sand for about 30 yards and a couple of bike jumps. This trail is a shortcut to Gonzales Canyon and very fun to ride.
