Overview

This is a great way to ride around the property, and this outer loop provides access to many of the interior trails.

Need to Know

Watch for hikers! Some days, even llamas are on some trails! Parking is available at the village center also by the pool near the mountain bike center where this starts.

Description

This is a great ride around the perimeter of the Smugglers Notch property. It is a leisurely hour ride and seems to flow best clockwise. Starting at Langlauf, it is a fun ride by the stream. Cross over one of the bridges to Boulevard, and follow the trail uphill to the disc golf area. If it is pretty wet, jump off Boulevard and ride up the road.

Once on Hubbard's Run, look for the snowshoe trail markers on the right. These run parallel to Hubbard's Run. I believe this trail section is named Bootleggers. Continue on after the disc golf pro shop and across the boardwalk to where the trail turns uphill on Rabbit Tracks, a nice hand-built singletrack trail.

Follow Rabbit Tracks up and keep following the mountain bike signs until you get to the clearing at the parking for the Ziplines. Continue on the road and up to Watson's Wander and then follow the trail up, up, up. As it starts to descend, you'll cross a bridge, and the trail name changes to Wire Road. This section is fast and jumpy!

Don't miss the turnoff to Reservoir Hill and Reservoir Tracks, or you'll hit a cable across the trail... not so good. Reservoir Hill goes down fast and loose then turns left onto Reservoir Tracks and runs beside the stream back to where you started!
