This trail is an existing part of the Cross Charlotte Trail (XCLT) that travels through the campus of UNCC. The trail starts off of Rocky River Rd. and ends at the northern border of the UNCC campus at an intersection with the Mallard Creek Greenway.

The trail connects to some of the old singletrack on UNCC campus as well as the Fruit Trail that are popular with the BMX and freeride crowd. Once completed, the Cross Charlotte Trail will connect from the South Carolina border all the way to UNCC for a total of around 30 miles.
