Downhill-only trail. Snowmass Bike Park.

Overview

Working with a caffeinated theme given its crossing of Expresso, this trail will have you buzzing by the time you return back to the top. With super fast flow, massive high speed berms, sweet views, and fun boardwalk bridges it's a quick favorite for many.

Need to Know

Do not stop on the trail. Be aware of fast-moving riders behind you—please step off to the side of the trail if you do need to stop.

Description

Access from the top of the Elk Camp Chairlift by descending Vapor Trail for one mile. The trail starts on your left. While the trail is continuous, you'll cross over dirt work roads six times and pass by intersections with Expresso, Cross Mountain Trail, and West Government Trail as you descend the mountain.

Some choose to ride just the upper half of this trail and return to the top of the Elk Camp Gondola & Restaurant by dropping down Papa Smurf. Or you can you take its full length all the way down to the merge point with Viking.

Due to its smooth dirt cap for much of its length, this is the easiest way to descend this upper part of the Snowmass Bike Park. In addition to massive berms and high-speed rolling sections, you'll encounter elevated boardwalks where the forested slopes remain wet due to seeping hillsides.
