Aside from the paved start, this is mostly all good singletrack, though quite rocky.

Need to Know

There's a bunch of different colored trails once you're out here, and this loop goes through a few of them so don't get too focused on the colors if you want to do the loop or keep a shorter ride (as opposed to the seven-mile Soapstone Loop C, which shares part of the trail with this loop).

Description

There is a pretty steep climb up a paved road to start to get you onto the singletrack, where you'll remain the rest of the time. This side of the forest has a lot more trails than the other side (where Soapstone Loop A is) so it's much easier to get lost wandering if you aren't paying attention.

There are a lot of trail intersections you can feel free to explore, or try to follow this loop so you can ensure you get the ride you're expecting.

Overall, it's a good ride though the whole forest that's occasionally very rocky and has very sudden and short, steep, and technical sections. Also, if you follow the direction of the track, in the last roughly 0.4 miles of this loop, you may pass a few hikers going in the opposite direction. Luckily, this section is a bit wider and flatter (aside from the roots) so as long as you're nice to the hikers, there shouldn't be any problems passing them and finishing the trail quickly (which ends up dumping you right at the parking lot).

Multiple downed trees across the trail. Map track is materially off from actual GPS location while on the trail.
