The Marin Headlands offers iconic views of the Pacific Ocean and amazing topography of the Mt. Tam region. Climbs can be steep at times, but the views are well worth it. This loop incorporates great views and fun, slightly technical singletrack on Diaz Ridge which descends to the ocean.

This loop incorporates great views and fun, slightly technical singletrack on Diaz Ridge which descends to the ocean. Start off riding through the valley, and then up to the ridge where amazing views of Mt. Tam and the Pacific Ocean can be found.

Continue riding along a fire road across the ridge, climbing up the Miwok Trail. Cross the street and then turn left to descend the tight and fun switchbacks of Diaz Ridge. You'll be facing the ocean during most of your descent. Diaz Ridge can be slightly technical, rocky, and tight at times.

Take a break and enjoy the ocean breeze at Muir Beach or ride out to Muir Woods and check out the trees before climbing back over the ridge and into Tennessee Valley.
