Bridges can be slippery when damp.
Description
From
Odd Buck, the trail doesn't change much in elevation as you wind around a swampy area that has standing water in it for most of the year. If you stop along this trail in the summer, you are going to need bug repellent.
You can access
Soggy Bottom Trail from the Ravines Middle. The trail then gets tight for a quarter mile with tight hairpin turns leading up to a bridge that leads to an island in the middle of a good sized creek. You can access
Creekside Trail here. There is a picnic table on the island and it is a popular stop for bikers. Again, bug repellent necessary in the summer.
The trail crosses the creek again to get off the island via another bridge.
Next up is a very sandy winding section for about 50 yards. The last few hundred yards wind up and down a slope with roots, some sandy corners, roots, and a few tight switchbacks. The trail ends when you reach
Redbug Run.
