“This is a short easy alternate trail to the main Candy Mountain Trail.
”
This trail is open to hikers, trail runners, mountain bikers, and equestrians. No motor vehicles are allowed. Dogs are allowed on leash only and the owners need to pack out their droppings. The trail is open 24 hours a day, but parts are very close to homes so please respect their privacy and peace. Stay on the trail, as the desert landscape is easily damaged.
Description
This trail is very easy. Originally an old road that paralleled the Candy Mountain Trail, it was converted into a second path.
Commonly, this trail is used as an alternate trail. It can also be combined with the Candy Mountain Trail to make a nice 1.2 mile loop that folks can use to enjoy the mountain without going to the top. There is little elevation change and the path is wide and graveled.
See the trail description for the Candy Mountain Trail for more information about the area.
