Description

So named because the first quarter mile is the access road for the North Canadian Yurt. You'll see the yurt up on the hill to your left and the singletrack will start off to your right.

It begins by leading you through the shrub brush, over a small creek crossing, and then to a sign that points to the right. This is important because the more traveled trail continues straight past the sign. In spite of your instincts, which might say to stay the course and go straight, you'll want to follow that sign and head right. A less-worn track will take you to a crossing of the North Canadian River (a stream).

From there, the trail is very faint at times and just a cow track at others. But there are always blue diamonds interspersed in the trees. Keep a watch for those and you can stay on course. The trail is a gradual climb through the forest. It's beautiful and easy riding. It eventually terminates by joining in with the North Canadian Trail.
